The 2014 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir encapsulates all that we love about this mysterious little grape: bright red fruit, a complex “darkness,” and brightness on the finish. A little spice, a little raspberry…what else could one ask for?
Would pair famously with seared ahi tuna, burrata and mushroom bruschetta or grilled chicken with rosemary and thyme. 50 cases produced.
Our 2014 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay comes from wise old vines planted on an exposed, wind-blown and sun bleached south facing slope. This wine is so precise and focused. It is taut with tension and energy.
Pure chardonnay without makeup. Enjoy this beauty with goat cheese, Spring vegetable risotto or simple grilled fish with a little butter and parsley. 45 cases produced.
The 2014 Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay from 44-year old vines at Bien Nacido pushes the intensity needle even further. This wine has a more tropical personality on the nose and the palate is dominated by a steely coolness. So refreshing and so mouthwatering. Out here we’d pair it with rock crab or abalone or sea urchin. Basically find the scariest looking sea creature you can find, cook it and enjoy it with this bottle. It will pair with rich seafood like a dream. 45 cases produced.
2013 Hapy Canyon Red is a classic Caifornia Cabernet Sauvignon. Black fruit and black olive. Ripe, rich, but never afraid to showcase the herbal and irristably dusty nuances of this regal variety. The kind of wine that got us into the industry in the frist place.
Nowhere is this more evident than our 2014 Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc from the McGinley Vineyard. It’s all about crisp green apple and honeydew; grassy herbacousness and zesty citrus charm. A wine to enjoy this summer on the porch in the sunshine…or next to your favorite green curry. 130 cases produced.
At $15/bottle, this sauvignon blanc blend (with a touch of chardonnay) absolutely over delivers and is the perfect summer house wine.
