Happy Canyon

Happy Canyon is the easternmost region of Santa Barbara County.  As a result, this section of the Valley has the least marine influence, and the warmest climate with the largest diurnal swings.

The soils are a mixture of loam and clay loam with interspersed cobbles, high in mineral levels while low in nutrients, resulting in small vines and very low grape yields.

Happy Canyon is the most successful place to grow Bordeaux varieties in Santa Barbara County, and the wines from this place have a very distinct expression.

Happy Canyon sauvignon blancs are able to walk the line between richness and acidity. Cabernet sauvignon from this area embraces rich fruit as well as bright acidity and the perfect touch of herbal notes.

2013 Happy Canyon Red

2013 Hapy Canyon Red is a classic Caifornia Cabernet Sauvignon. Black fruit and black olive. Ripe, rich, but never afraid to showcase the herbal and irristably dusty nuances of this regal variety. The kind of wine that got us into the industry in the frist place.
